Hay River Golf Course

Located 10 km (6.2 mi) south of town on Highway 2, the Hay River Golf Club is open May through September. This 9-hole grass course features attractive fairways and greens, and the clubhouse offers rentals and a pro shop. During winter, the golf club becomes the Hay River Cross Country Ski Club with a network of well-groomed, lighted trails.

Yellowknife Golf Club

This historic golf course celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2008. The scenic rock and sand course features 18 holes, a pro shop and posh clubhouse. Several important tournaments take place here, including the Midnight Classic. A junior program as well as ladies and mens' nights are also available.
